Swapped the less for warm white and added led strips on the sides.

Next I’m trying my hand at filling some holes from a trolling motor installation. We’ll see how that goes.

Re: 1990 253 vent line issues

I had the same issue - and poked at the silver nub on the side of the boat. It’s a miracle! Now the tank fills with no issues.
This sure is full of useful info you never knew you needed.

Re: 1998 Cobalt 200 Upgrades

Thanks for the kudos! This color/pattern doesn’t seem to get hit at all, and we’ve had a few weeks in the 90’s.

New carpets came in - just finished installing the snaps. Have to do the grommets, but at least they are down!

Thanks - it’s an eBay purchase. I think it was only $50 or$60 bucks.

Re: Anyone replace the “phallic” Sony wired remote?

I did pull on, but nothing came out - I mean, nothing happened.
Sony has no support for it except the installation guide. And or course the hole is an odd size and shape.

Anyone replace the “phallic” Sony wired remote?

My 1998 200 has the -I think - factory installed Sony wired remote. It pokes out like a stubby carrot, and of course isn’t connected to the radio, which isn’t original.

Anyone replace theirs? I’ll post a picture of it. Strangest looking thing.

Re: New depth gauge

I purchased the same faria gauge and an in hull transducer. My 98 200 did not have the depth gauge.
I’m not too knowledgeable about electronics - where does the hot wire connect to? I could wire to a spare switch - cap call or accessory - or should I connect elsewhere?
