Re: 1998 252 updating thread

Sorry for the long delay in updates. It's took a VERY long time to get my engine. And taking even longer for me to get everything installed. Changed a lot of parts, and many are not cooperating. There's been a lot of parts installed and removed because they didn't work.

Biggest PITA was the exhaust ...

Re: 1998 252 updating thread

I have the same exact boat and couldn’t agree more with the wasted space.
I am currently replacing all of my gauges and switches, I have searched all over for a wiring diagram of the dash wiring. Is there any way that you could take a few pics of the wiring under your dash and post them or email ...

Re: 1998 252 updating thread

It's now July and just got on the engine stand for assembly.

You know we need pics of the shiny new engine in the engine stand, right?

If it weren’t for bad luck you’d have no luck at all. :)

I’m still rooting for ya.

You have no idea how right you are.

Had a storm come through and ...

Still have the temp engine. Never installed it because I've been told my engine will be done.....

Heard that in Nov and Jan.

Re: 1998 252 updating thread

Getting ready for more fuel needed.

Amazing how small the factory pick up tube actually is.

1/2" tube

1/4" hole at the 90* fitting

3/8" barb fitting

Replaced with a 3/8" ID SS tube

SS AN 10 elbow

That's a 5/8" ID fuel hose

One question though. Are you running 6 pairs of speakers off the M6/600?
Three pairs of 6.5" JL M3 speakers off the 600/6. (6 speakers total)
Ok, that's good. I saw one of your posts said 6 pairs of JL 6.5's. I was hoping you weren't powering all 6 pairs from that amp.

Re: Anchor line

I run 200' of 1/2" with 10' of chain.

They have the PVC/rubber coated chain, but only seems to come in 4' lengths.

Re: Sharrow props

My understanding is it's really geared towards midrange RPM and cruising speed gains.

Faster planing time and more MPH in the cruise range. Idea of getting best fuel economy possible.

Target audience I believe is charter boats.

There is little to no gain in terms of high speed performance.
