Cobalt Boats Forum

Well after 35 years of admiring Cobalts coming and going from Chambers Landing on the west shore of Lake Tahoe while I drank cocktails, I have finally pulled the trigger! Picked up a 2006 220 with a Merc V8 6.2L 320HP last fall. 1 owner, low hours, Tahoe Only boat, fits in my garage nicely for ...

thanks for the quick feedback! only 1 owner and boat has been in Lake Tahoe and Almanor only. this is the dealer that originally sold the boat and serviced so i'll inquire about the anodes. will see if they will move down closer to your #

Well turns out the 2006 is a much much nicer boat in terms of quality of interior and hull. They are offering it at $31,995 and are including a brand new 2020 trailer. in that price Some inspection notes here:

2006 220
381 hours on mercury 6.2 mpi
compression, propeller, ignition and starter rated ...

thanks for the quick feedback! headed up this saturday to meet with the dealer. not super stoked on the look of the tower on the 2005 but it seems to be a nice stepping stone into the world of boating on Tahoe. could maybe remove? will try to get it closer to $30k.

i've been looking around the site ...

thoughts? seems to be a much better engine for high altitude? Thanks all in advance for any thoughts/opinions.

We've turned out focus to some local boats near me. Any take on this 2006 220? Lake Tahoe boat...may be a overpriced without the trailer? Would love to hear some thoughts on this vintage of 220's if any one has experience.

so helpful! thank you all for the feedback. turns out the motor has 550 hours on it and is pending sale (not sure what #). the search continues!

thanks for the quick feedback! please coach me up...is the 280hp weak for the 220 on Lake Tahoe? i've got two young sons so we will mostly just cruising with the family and grandparents. i'm sure some tubing, skiing, etc. but nothing too crazy.

New to the site and looking to buy a used Cobalt 220 for use in Lake Tahoe. Anyone have any thoughts on the 2016 and specifically this deal? I'm waiting on more information from the dealer on # of hours.

What is the measurement on trailer to the top of the windshield? I am looking for a 200 or 220 this fall/winter and am curious if they will fit in a 7ft garage. Beautiful boat
