Re: Modification?
Well, I had to move to my computer to load the silly picture. It just would not load from my phone. Not a sexy pic, but certainly holds more than 2 water bottles and an empty bag of chips like the old one. I added a pic of the trashcan from Amazon to show overall size. It's pretty deep.

Re: Modification?
Finally following up on my post from 2 years ago. Over this winter, we updated our trashcan from the miniature bathroom size trashcan on the R8 to a fullsize 13 gallon trash can which is more appropriate for a dayling boating trip. I think it turned out nice and it doesn't take up any more room than ...

I know I'm a little late to this question, but I have an excel checklist I can send to you.

Re: Canvas Cover Failing
I have a 2022 R8 and our cover tore around the tower as well. Just had it repaired so not sure how that will hold up. I can let you know next year

Modification?
So my friend had a new Ski Nautique with a little door flap on the side wall for the trash can, and it got me thinking. I hate that I have to ask someone to get up every time I want to throw something away. Has anyone done something like this? If so, what did you do and what did you use? Does anyone ...

Re: Name Brainstorming
Maybe it's time to move from "Carpe Solem" to "Coram Deo". :D
.
Good one AsLan7. Totally had to look that up! I'm excited it's very early too. Apparently the surf boat builds have been put on hold and they moved up all the non surfs. Never been so excited to be an old non-surfer!

Name Brainstorming
Just notified today that our new R8 will be ready at the end of March. We were told mid to late summer, so this is a nice surprise. Now I'm looking for some name ideas. Here's some info on us:
Hubby firefighter/paramedic
Me Compliance officer (boring I know, but it pays the bills)
We also own an ...

Re: Cockpit Heater - worthwhile option?
I have that option on our older 360. There's only one (maybe two) supply vents. Without the full enclosure on, it really doesn't heat the cockpit unless you're right in front of the vent.
That only makes sense and is what I was afraid of. I think that I will stick with the more traditional ...

Re: Flooring Recommendations
Based up on my recent experience in ordering parts from Cobalt, they seem to be significantly delayed in getting orders out. I ordered some bimini bolts on 6/29 and still don't have them. So I would recommend going to a reseller. More work potentially for you, but they are not taking as long. Given ...

Re: Flooring Recommendations
I had loose nuts too. Part of boating. Yep lock tight then up and check them. I tightened every screw on my rub rail too. Everything comes loose with age 😉
Check your trailer tires for balance and possibly separation.
It will send shockwaves though a boat and loosen everything.
I think my ...

Re: Flooring Recommendations
Thanks all. Looks like Sea Grass is the winner so far. Appreciate the feedback.
Anyone have thought on our bimini challenges. So far we have lost 2 screws where they just fell out while we were on the water. We since then added lock-tite to the screws and made sure all were secure before we left ...

Flooring Recommendations
So I'm suddenly in the market for new flooring on our R5. Someone, who shall remain unnamed but isn't the person writing here  , didn't snap down the front section of carpet after taking it out to dry and now it's resting comfortably on the side of the road somewhere hidden from all normal ...
