Hi gang
My service soon message popped up so I asked my shop. I just wanted to check what is necessary, and if I am missing anything.
I am going to have the impeller done, but this is what is being recommended:
- Lubricate Engine Coupler
- Spray engine with Corrosion Guard (seems unnecessary, I ...

Here's a question. What do you guys use to clean and polish the tower? Flitz should be safe I believe...

Drain plug replacement
I'm thinking it might be a good idea to carry a backup drain plug. Wondering if there is anywhere online that you might know of to pick one up?
Mine appears to be a 9/16" brass plug. I looked on Amazon etc but can't seem to find anything.
Does anyone else carry a backup just in case?

Samson wakeboard tower replacement parts
I needed a couple replacement pieces for my Samson wakeboard tower and they were great to deal with. Helpful over email and phone, and quick shipping. If you need any replacement pieces don't hesitate to reach out to them.

Re: Speedo pitot pickup
Awesome thanks. If that doesn't work I'll try the dremel.

Re: Speedo pitot pickup
Sorry should have been more specific.
I wasn't going to use the actual drill, just the bit. I think I could put it in the hole and wiggle it enough to open it up.
I don't have a Dremel but like that idea and could likely borrow one...
Thanks for your reply.

Speedo pitot pickup
Neither my analog or digital speedometers are working.
Inspected the leg and the problem appears to be the inlet. The previous owner had hit something and put a small ding in the leg exactly where the pitot inlet is for the speedo and it's closed off. I can see the hole but it's probably half the ...

Wow thank you, greatly appreciated.
So the question is what is cheaper, bellows or leg repair when I drive away and forget to raise it back up

Re: Does your trim at the throttle work with the ignition off?
I eventually plan to install a transom trim switch, but I'm going directly to the battery. I want to be able to control the trim with the boat on the trailer, covered, and the battery switch off. Seems kinda pointless if the battery switch needs to be on, as in my case, if the switch is on the ...

Re: Help ID this...
That sounds exactly right. Strange as it was sitting in the mesh bag on its side, not laying flat. I'll try laying it down flat tomorrow.
Thanks for the tip!

Should have taken a pic, but hoping someone can tell me what this is.

Follow up for any future readers....My trim only works at the throttle with the key on... Perhaps this is only models with the transom control.

Doesn't look like the kits include the one for behind the props, is it less common to replace?
This is a magnesium kit for freshwater, looks like it will work.
