no more carpet
I have SeaDek on the back half of my 220, and tan berber carpet in the cockpit and up through the front. Went to the local upholstry shop to have them size up some new carpet and they said they cannot even get carpet anymore. That it's all SeaGrass now. We prefer the berber carpet, but are ...

Re: Fish Finder on a 220
Pulled my cover in the garage yesterday and spent about 30 minutes trying to figure out where to mount one. I've decided I'm NOT going to do that. There's just no good place to put a 7" screen without detracting from the fit and finish of such a nice boat. A 5" might go "okay" in a couple of spots ...

Thanks for the link! I'll look in a bitjhnmdahl wrote: Thu Feb 05, 2026 9:00 pm Many of us have found a place to mount a chartplotter or sonar that wouldn't fit in the dash using a RAM mount - see these threads for an example:

Fish Finder on a 220
Anyone have any suggestions for where to mount a locator/fishfinder on a 2005 220 ?
I really want to get back into some fishing. I know I know.... most will want to steal my Cobalt Card. But I used to spend a lot of time with a line in the water until we grabbed this 220. I love the boat. We have ...

Re: Anchor for 220BR
I appreciate the offer to report back... anxious to read how it went for you.
I was a sneeze away from pulling the trigger on one of those WavesRX kits (anchor, 15-50' bungee, and 5' of chain) but chickened out - it's $231 after a 10% discount. But I think I'm going to start with a more frugal ...

Re: Anchor for 220BR
Good info. Everyone here is so friendly
I will purchase more chain and see if I can gitter done correctly. If I still have issues, I will use that new chain on a different anchor (box or similar).
I will report back for sure! Thanks again everyone!!

Re: Anchor for 220BR
I've had okay results with my fluke in the past. I had 10' of chain on a 15lb fluke anchor for our 242. Most times, it held pretty well, as long as I had 2x to 3x the rode out as the depth we were anchored in. Last year, Labor Day weekend, the fluke held too well, and I lost it.
Just got a new ...

Re: Anchor for 220BR
Lake Geneva has weeds and mud in some areas, and in other areas, I'm trying to hold on slight breaks/drop offs. But depending on the wind and location, I may have steep breaks that I probably shouldn't even try to anchor at. I have not had any trouble getting this anchor to hold when I anchor ...

Re: Anchor for 220BR
Really appreciate the help folks. I may have tossed an anchor or two in my day  But listen, even though I'm old I can learn new tricks! Since acquiring the 220 a few years ago, we usually drift out in the middle, and in my fishing boats, I always used the spotlock on my trolling motors (no ...
